MSI has been around-the-block, bought the t-shirt, and worn it threadbare since the early days when they released their eponymous debut album back in 1995. They’re funny; it’s a perverse irreverent humor. They’re insanely creative and they’re outrageous. They don’t give a fuck about their critics and they love their fans (as they should). Yet, they’re also smart and knowing that money earned from CD or digital sales wouldn’t support a new album’s production, they began a Kickstarter campaign in 2012 that culminated in the release of their fifth studio album aptly titled, “How I Learned to Stop Giving a Shit and Love Mindless Self Indulgence.” This particular video came with its own MSI warning as follows, “Mindless Self Indulgence has been known to cause spasmodic fits of madness in random store clerks resulting in eventual spontaneous human combustion. Please enjoy.” Funny, irreverent, creative, outrageous, critic-dismissing, and smart too. I’ll be quiet now, but only because I want to.
